I find no words to express my pleasure about the institution ARG College of Arts & Commerce, for having made my father’s name Ajjampura Rangappa Govindaswamy a memorable one for his small contribution he had made for the opening of this college throughBapuji Educational Association (BEA). I am grateful to the management of BEA for its efforts & cooperation to make this institution a reputed one in the middle Karanataka for over several decades. I sincerely thank all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college for their total commitment in providing quality service to the students and there by transforming the vision of my father in to reality.

Bapuji Educational Association’s Ajjampurada Rangappa Govindaswamy ( ARG) Arts and Commerce College, Davangere, a temple of learning was founded in the year 1973-74. It was the vision of the founders to provide education in arts, commerce and management disciplines for the empowerment of the youth of both urban and rural areas.
Keeping in view the above vision, the objective of the institution is to promote and develop competency among its students by utilizing the man and material power available in the institution to the maximum extent to meet the local and global challenges.
.For the overall development of its students, the institution has been conducting academic and non academic activities like seminars, guest lectures, sports events, NSS ,NCC activities and cultural activities.
It is a pleasure for me to state that in the background of this endeavor, it has been possible for it to take B+ grade in 2017 with 2.63 CGPA in Third cycle by NAAC.
As an added feather to our institution, M.Com course was also started in the academic year 2013-14.
