Subject plays a prominent role in the field of Humanities and it is the mother root of all subjects of Social Science.In our college it is being taught along with other subjects like Economics, Political Science and Sociology. Students can opt any three subjects, out of that History subject is compulsory.As per NEP-2020 from the academic year 2021-22 the students can choose any two of the above subjects as their core subjects. The BOS and BOE of Davanagere University for UG Course plays a prominent role in preparing the syllabus and conducting the examinations. The syllabus meets the present need of students to make them enable to face the competitive examinations and expand the general knowledge and understanding of the rich historical moral values and skills. The outcome of the study is to prepare the students as better citizens by understanding History, Culture, Art and Architecture and Heritage.
